King Raam
As part of his world tour, and following his sold-out gig in London last year, Raam is coming to the Rebellion Manchester to have his debut gig in the city. Following his performance in ‘Things Hidden Since the Start of the World’ with the renowned Javaad Alipour in 2022, he’s returning to Manchester to have his first-ever gig in the north of England. Raam is an Iranian/Canadian alternative punk rock musician, writer, and podcast host. He started his musical career as the singer/songwriter/founder of Hypernova, a post-punk band in New York, which originated in the undergrounds of Tehran in the early 2000s. After Hypernova dissolved, he decided to pursue a solo career under the name King Raam. He’s known as one of the leading alternative Iranian musicians and also hosts a podcast called “Masty o Rasty” (The Drunken Truth) with over 40 million streams/downloads.
